STING in WWE: His Unlikely Journey

Whether it was the Sting with the blonde flattop, neon tights and matching face paint, or the dark, brooding Sting inspired by The Crow, fans all collectively wondered what it would be like if he ever joined WWE.

In professional wrestling, Sting is essentially a household name. An undeniable legend. 

World Championship Wrestling was bought by Vincent Kennedy McMahon on March 23rd, 2001. One of the few constants in WCW was The Man Called Sting. Sting had numerous classic matches, won all sorts of titles, drew immense crowds, did big business with nWo, you name it.

While there were several detours along the way, today, we look at Sting and his unlikely yet inevitable journey to WWE.
