Sting: The Lost Tape Preview

WCW

This Sunday, WWE Network will air Sting: The Lost Tape which will feature unseen footage of Sting from 1995 at the WCW Slamboree pay-per-view event where he took on Big Bubba Roger, formerly Big Boss Man in WWF.

I’m nervous. I’m always nervous for these. I always have butterflies.

I'm particularly excited about this because Sting is one of my all-time favourite wrestlers and someone I grew up admiring and still do.

Like most kids, I was drawn to Sting's larger than life personality, bright colours, athleticism and heroic behaviour. Similarly to the Macho Man, Sting's charisma radiated through a television screen and I was instantly drawn to him.

As an adult, my admiration parlayed into respect for Steve Borden the human being who is undoubtedly generous, positive and remarkably humble.

While I was incredibly loyal to WWF as a child, the one person who drew me to WCW in the early '90s was the man called Sting.
